Explore Our Black & Natural Cable Ties

Our black and natural cable ties cover every environment — from heavy-duty construction sites to modern offices and data centres. Both ranges are manufactured from UL-approved Nylon 66 with a UL 94 V2 flammability rating, offering reliable performance across professional and industrial applications.

Black cable ties are the trade standard for outdoor, construction, and electrical use. The black Nylon 66 material contains carbon content that provides improved UV resistance compared with natural cable ties, along with excellent durability. They maintain strength from -40°C to +85°C and resist oils, greases, and common site contaminants, making them suitable for scaffolding, electrical rough-ins, and general industrial work.

Natural cable ties are designed for clean indoor environments where appearance matters. The translucent white finish blends with light surfaces, making them ideal for offices, retail spaces, data centres, and healthcare facilities. They offer the same dependable performance while maintaining a discreet, professional look.

Both ranges are available in lengths from 80mm to 1530mm and widths from 2.5mm to 12.7mm, with tensile strengths up to 114kg. Each product page includes full technical data, tensile ratings, and application guidance for precise selection.

If you’re unsure which size you need, our Cable Tie Size Chart includes both metric and imperial measurements, with a simple switch button that lets you compare lengths, widths, and tensile strengths instantly.

For consistent tensioning and a clean professional finish, use one of our Cable Tie Guns. All cable ties are available in packs of 100 with bulk pricing for trade orders and fast UK delivery direct from our warehouse in Kent.

Black & Natural Cable Ties FAQs

What is the difference between black and natural cable ties?

Nylon 66 is naturally a milky off white colour, which is why natural cable ties have a translucent white appearance. Black cable ties are produced by adding carbon to the Nylon 66 during manufacture, giving them their black colour. This carbon content also provides black cable ties with slightly improved UV resistance compared with natural cable ties, making them more suitable for outdoor and site use.

What do the different widths of cable ties mean?

The width of a cable tie directly relates to its minimum tensile strength. Narrow cable ties are designed for light duty bundling, while wider cable ties provide higher strength for heavier loads. As a general guide, 2.5mm wide cable ties typically have a tensile strength of around 8kg, 3.6mm wide ties around 18.2kg, and 4.8mm wide cable ties around 22.2kg, which is the most commonly used size. For heavier duty applications, 7.6mm wide cable ties offer approximately 54.4kg tensile strength, 9mm wide ties around 79.4kg, and 12.7mm wide cable ties up to 114kg.
